Greetings! I am thrilled to have the opportunity to work with your son/daughter and teach them the trumpet. With 17 years of experience playing the instrument and a Master's degree in Trumpet Performance from The University of Texas at Austin, I am confident in my ability to guide my students towards their full potential.

My teaching philosophy is centered around the belief that every student has the capability to succeed. As their teacher, it is my role to provide necessary guidance, while maintaining high expectations for excellence. My focus is not just on the end result but on the journey towards each student's success. By encouraging them to develop their own unique musical voice, I aim to foster curiosity, creativity, and self-discovery through music. Creating a positive and non-judgmental environment is crucial in my studio. I encourage my students to focus on their sound production and remind them that it takes time and patience to achieve their desired sound through practice and trial and error. I work closely with each student to establish their individual goals and the steps necessary to achieve them. My aim is to build a trusting and collaborative relationship with each student and make myself available for any questions or concerns they may have, both inside and outside of music.

I hope to instill in my students a sense of humility and inspiration, and to help them understand the impact they can make in the world through music.

Please note that payment for lessons should be made by the end of each month, either through check, cash, or electronic methods such as PayPal, Zelle, or Venmo (details available on my website). If paying through PayPal, please add 3% to the total to cover the fee or use the Friends and Family option. Please provide at least 24 hours’ notice in case of a missed lesson. I reserve the right to charge for unexcused missed lessons without prior notification.
